The first story is called Shite, Okeba Yokatta Koukai, which is basically about En Asakura often has the same dream lately. She dreams of a boy asking her to kiss him. Her dream is connected to a painful memory from her high-school life, when she felt in love with a boy named Maru. When he asked her to kiss him, she refused, and now she's regretting it. Not to mention that the boy started to date another girl after that incident. En is now in university and is trying to find her life partner through goukon: blind group dates. What will she do when a boy with the same name as her past crush asks for her number? Will she refuse and regret it again?
The good thing about this first story was the background of her fear, I liked that. It showed of her problems and it didnt dwell on it. I think she's a very versatile girl with a alot of ache in her heart due to a mistake. I think she just needed to expose it and then get it out of the way and feel better. But when she see's the same face again she panics she remembers so much things she could of have done. Don't we all, its just a small one shot of something I like and would very much relate to i'm sure everyone will.
second story is a follow up of the first The Realization Of Happiness which concludes the first chapter don't want to ruin it, but let's just say that its a good ending it's something we realise once in a while and never take notice of it. But accept that this is what love is called, its a very short ending to the story and I liked it. So give it a go.
Third story is After School Kiss which is one of my favourite chapters in the book, it's based on Mikami and Haruhi and their little love affair no one knows about. Mikami is a first year going out with Haruhi who is her sempai, and without realising they have a secret spot where they kiss! Of course they hide this fact and everything but people are continuously talking about how weird it is going out with Haruhi, which puts her on edge and it ends up being a little drama filled love problem. Which gets solved in the end it's a cute story it focuses on appearance and its nice to know that the body and etc is nothing compared to personality :D
fourth story is Tell Me You Love Me starts of with Ichika and Sou whose a third year university student on the bench talking about a picture on the phone. Ichika suggests Sou to put it on his phone, but he refuses of course she doesn't realise that he is blushing. She ends up thinking shes being childish instead she feels that she has no connection with him, it's the cliched feeling of not doing what you should with a girlfriend and boyfriend it's a cute story with a little "Doki Doki" moments which is nice!
and Lastly the best story of the volume is called My Friend's Boyfriend (Part 1) It starts of with a girl talking about another girl in a coma her names Miwa and when she comes out she see's a boy who happens to be called Kai, asking him if she wants to see the girl, he refuses. And the story rolls in about Tomono who has been in love with her childhood friend Kai for a long time and wants him to see her as a girl but he had fallen for Miwa instead. And without realising they are a couple in this whole chapter it goes through the rollercoaster for Tomono as she watches the two together which is sad but nice to read about.
My Friend's Boyfriend (Part 2) is the continuation of the first chapter and it goes on to explain the accident, Tomono confesses her love to Kai but he refuses and then when we think things gets better. But its just sad news all around, in the end Kai refuses to accept her love and something unexpexted happens. Its a story full of sadness and pain, it's mediocre and lovely to read. you might get a bit weepy but it's still great to feel some emotion through this volume it concludes the manga.
This was a lovely book of one shots- I really enjoyed it I think it's one of those you find randomly and read because you have nothing to do. I know I did that haha! but I didnt regret it, I like reading things like these sad endings do it for me, but it's also perfect which the manga did. Although My friends boyfriend I would of liked a after story of the situation a bit more! but in the end what a perfect ending to all of it :D
So if you have a chance go read it! :D you wont be disappointed! Also the art work is really great so I know some of you guys might like it due to that! ^^
