Synopsis ~
Peach Girl is about an average high school girl, Momo Adachi, who everyone thinks is a beach bunny/slut because of her tanned skin. The actual reason she is so tanned is because she was on the swim team and tans very easily. She likes a boy, Toji, who she heard only likes non-tanned girls. This causes her to question who she is and have low self esteem. She spends a lot of time trying to remake herself into the girl she believes he wants; however, she has a friend, Sae, who likes to go behind Momo's back and make her life terrible, mostly by trying to take Toji away from her. All the while there's another boy, Kairi, who is in love with Momo.

Peach girl is a high school drama involving
4 characters and the main one is called Momo Adachi, a girl in love with
swimming and water but is scared to go back to it because she is tanned! This
is interesting because there is a huge stigmatism to Japanese girls being
dark! So you can tell how I was interested watching this, I remember reading
the Manga before watching the Anime it was a long time ago as well! But I’m
glad I did because it was real good!

What is interesting about this high school
drama is the plot, it’s so twisted it shows of one girl who is in the midst of rumours because she is dark skinned. That she is stereotyped amongst her peers, it
dealt with a real issue beyond that and that was great! The rumour spread was
being done so by her friend Sae who Momo wasn’t that close to either and found
her strangely agitating.
Characters are the four main meaning, Momo,
Sae, Touji and Kairi! Now the relationship between all is complicated already
but get even more badly when Sae interferes! Momo being the type she is is in
love with Touji since a long time of course Sae finds out and makes hell for
her. Sae is a conniving bitch of course, let’s be honest there are many in the
world but she makes Momo’s life hellish! Touji the ever stupid guy, who didn’t know
the difference between a rumour and the truth honestly. And Kairi who is the
playboy in love with Momo who saved him. What I enjoyed is how different they
were and how realistic it felt as well because lets be fair a lot of people
went through stuff like this in high school! (Unless you are me who went to a
girls school (¬_¬);)
The music was ok I wasn’t too keen on it
but it suited the show well, the colours of the show was so bright and vibrant
it kind of hurt to see. It was hard to distinguish their lips sometimes because
the colours were crazy! The animation I’m being honest wasn’t too keen on it
but it was unique and very distinctive! It made peach girl stand out a lot!
Dopes dislikes ~
What I didn’t like was the lips I found it
a bit strange but you do get used it apparently but I couldn’t quite get into
it. I was still freaked out a bit, but I wasn’t a big fan of the drama it was
quite irritating and slow paced for me. I did wish it had more episodes because
it could have explained more about the show rather than concluding it in short
episodes.
Dopes conclusion -
Overall I liked Peach girl, a shame I
couldn’t finish the Manga which would help my understanding of the characters a
bit more. I wasn’t too keen on the drama and back and forth of going between
boys it didn’t help that I wasn’t a fan of Touji but she kept going back! It
was a long process but overall I can’t complain because it was unique because
it felt realistic in some ways but some parts a bit iffy and the artwork still
makes me feel weird but that’s just me, besides that I would say to go watch
it!
