Momozono Nanami’s dad, a man with a penchant for gambling, disappeared after accumulating a huge amount of debt. Thus, she was chased out of her house by the debt collectors. When she met a timid man being chased by a dog, he told her that he’d give her his house. She believed his persuasive talk, but when she went to his house… it turned out to be a shrine. Moreover, a guy with fox ears appeared, which made Nanami even more confused. What will become of homeless and confused Nanami?
If anyone doesnt know, Akitarou Daichi is the creator of Fruits basket, Nurse Angel Rurika, Kodacha and of course Bokura ga Ita. He is really noted for Kodacha and Bokura ga ita, so it's not hard to know who he is. So we all know that his works are notably known for a lot of romance. I will just state a few things about the show and get it over with.
I really enjoyed this show, it was slow and mellow and basically very cute. It was a shame it didn't do so well Manga wise either with sales. It was notably worth the wait for, I was very surprised that it ended abruptly, what can you do? in those 13 episodes we got a glimpse of what was to come, the slow and very beautiful romance between Tomoe and Nanami, it was sweet and endearing to watch them.
The trick for this show was that the most simple character, doesn't try to hard. Although not a very fast growing series, it was still notable that it contained the elements of love and friendship together nicely. And combine that with a simple storyline, it makes up for a lot of things. Understandable people might complain for the lack of depth, but it was a ever growing series that if it had the budget would have continued and been one of the most favorite stories for some people. All the characters are so favorable, it was hard to hate any of them.
Overall, It had a charming ending and literally made me fall in love with it over and over it did have slow build up but it was worth it. Akitarou knows how to make me happy, with his simple designs and main characters they always blow me away. For me it has done its job as a romantic comedy, it added all those elements in and maybe a tiny bit more.
The manga however is of course a longer running series, it's worth the read slow but it contains more than the show of course, what you don't see you get in the Manga. So check it out, I'm already waiting for the next chapters to come out, I can't be revealing spoilers for whoever hasn't seen it but I must post this!
Currently there is about 17 volumes out and edited, and 101 chapters. So here is a glimpse of the latest chapter. Probably the most underrated Manga and show so give it ago, it doesn't require a lot of thinking or anything, it suits any mood and it's just beautiful.
I will now leave you with some awesome music from this series probably the best ever. The singer is called Hanae, she is super duper cute! I am totally in love with her voice its so different it's soft and melodic, that makes me smile with joy. So hope you grow on her like I did. I also loved Daisuke Kishio's version of the ending too, the music itself reminds me of something old school. So give it a listen when you can.

p.s. Hanes version of Kamisama Onegai, is originally done by a band called The Tempters, it was released in 68' if I am guessing. And they donned the beatles hairstyle awesome right? I love both versions so hopefully you do too ;)
