Ani-Com, Older brother complex volume 2 - Yuu Yabuuchi

Part 2! of the volume where everything gradually comes together we see, Maachi gets new neighbors who happens to be the artist that Riichi admires however the sister of the artist uses Maachi to get to her brother so she can go out with him, and uses the autograph as an excuse Maachi demands Riichi to go out he agrees even though you could tell he was upset.
At the same time Maachi refuses Jun's confession with a open heart and he says he wont give up which makes blush. eventually the story progresses as Riichi and Mei go on a trip and Maachi ends up being ill and taken cared of by Jun which she doesn't take a bad thing, this bit was pretty cute, Jun kissed Maachi like she did with Riichi, and a memory of hers comes out where she befriends Riichi the first time and promises him something with a Kiss.
And this is where all the confession comes tumbling out as Riichi stays by Maachi and confesses he See's her more than a sister and etc. and she is ecstatic about that fact. later on they go back to the Anime convention again dressed as the charcters they like Mei an Maachi and Maachi later spots Riichi's old GF! who tries to walk away but can't and they confess how she was always a otaku Maachi realizes that her brother didn't dump his EX because of the Otakuness but because he liked Maachi!
Everything soon is let out in class that Riichi is an Otaku! and how Mei is also one and that they say this with a brave face, and the greatest part was where every one of those kids said I like this anime and they buy manga still, it was pretty sweet.
The ending was abrupt I felt a bit of loss in this as Maachi and Riichi eventually get married in the end. which was kind of a mushy part to me haha.
Overall :
I would have liked it a bit longer, and a bit more different but in the end all came together and it was a pretty soft mushy manga to read and wasn't so bad I liked it deep down I admit haha! but I would still recommend this if you have nothing to read and would like a quick one!
But that could just be me! XD

I love Yuu Yabuuchi work I thought this was a nice way of telling a story of Maachi and her older brother, it was sweet and it was a quick story relaying everyone feelings consecutively.
Maachi is a 15 year-old girl who loves her brother Riichi. Actually, the two of them are not related by blood, but due to their parents work situation they are forced to live alone together. Riichi, whose looks, personality, and grades are top-class, is the idol around school. But he has a huge secret that only Maachi knows about. Riichi is actually an otaku!
So the first volume, goes through how Maachi goes through the process of telling us how she lives alone with her brother Riichi who is 17 years old and how there parents are overboard. the chapter starts of nicely with how she wakes up to eat breakfast and how she talks about it with her girlfriends at school and her friends realize that Maachi really does like her brother and are envious they go on to say how he is popular and a very eye-catching person, which makes Maachi jealous.
Later she gets introduced to a classmates sister who is in the same year as Riichi, which makes Maachi jealous in her little ways. She later discovers which classmate's sister it is and she finds out how his personality is opposite of Riichi's and scrutinizes him. we later go in a little journey of how Maachi comes to terms with jealousy with this girl her brother is with and how she could avoid anything that could go wrong! this is where later on she finally kisses her brother while he is asleep and finds herself embarrassed but Riichi is unaware of this so takes it as nothing.
We later find out slowly that the girl Nishizono Mei is actually an otaku who seeks for a companion and finds out that Riichi is one. They met suddenly at a bookstore exposing themselves to each other by accident and of fear keeps a secret and they blurt it out the next day.
So later on the series we see how the friendship develops between Riichi, Maachi and Mei and how we come to terms that Mei's parents do not like otakus or anything like that, however Mei still has doubts about the relationship between Riichi and Mei which causes a certain problem between them but is easily subsided when they dress up for cosplay where Mei is enthusiastic to create something from a popular manga and make Maachi dress as well.
afterward at the end of volume one we see Mei has managed to run away because her parents were refusing things she couldn't do, so she stays with Maachi and Riichi, at night Mei finally confesses that she is Gay she likes girls and that it frightened her at first but she is ok now and Maachi finally realizes this and asks to be sure if she said was true, Mei says yes and tells her that she knows Maachi likes her brother which makes Maachi nervous but Mei tells her its ok for none blood related siblings to marry which makes Maachi less nervous of confessing.
The final part we manage to capture Mei's brother Jun takes Maachi outside to confess to go out, he doesnt get a straight answer as Maachi is confused, at the end the Author of the show Mei and Riichi loves comes to stay at the house next door but isn't revealed till volume 2!
Overall :
The first volume was very cute, i loved the artwork and I loved the story it just showed a different point of view from a Otaku sense and I loved how the author tells us that their are people who are different and how there are different types of otakus and creepy people and how you could distinguish them without stereotyping them when you find out that you still like anime or manga for instance.
