PostHeaderIcon Vandread - Takeshi Mori

Set in a universe where humans have colonized the galaxy, and in one star system, men and women are completely segregated (on completely different planets: Mejereby the women, Taraak by the men) causing the gender war to be more than just a metaphor.

Ok here we go! Lets begin by saying this is a very hard show to find subbed! I mean I looked everywhere to watch this not dubbed! :D And boy did I miss this show! I loved every minute of watching this I mean I just finished it today again after a long time ago! and I felt so happy that I couldn't wait to write about it. I will keep it short and simple! :D

So where are we? This anime starts of with a male dominat universe and women dominent. It's so crazy and out of the loop I mean can you believe that the women still give birth? But what they do is get like a donar but they call it Souma, and with that they split it so there will be girls instead of boys? How wierd! SO first stage of Vandread was of Hibiki getting used to the base of the women and so forth. Getting to meet the ladies and actually meeting two other guys who joined in with him. At first they are locked away and then they are used to help the ladies. So the battles within the first series is awesome, we see the merging of the machines and how they have more dual core energy when they are joined. WE usualy see Dita and Hibiki do it more than anyone else.

The main villians are the Harvest Fleet!  It was created by the humans remaining on Earth to go out to colonized worlds and "harvest" the inhabitants, i.e., killing them and ripping them apart for the organs so the people on Earth could use them. Although some planets would resist the harvest fleet, they could never stop it. The primary ships in the fleet consists of smaller cube-like robots that combine to form larger ships and weapons. Throughout the whole series, smaller ships from the fleets are encountered by the Nirvana, taking a variety of forms. In the finale of the first series, a harvest flagship was encountered. These ships dwarf nearly every other ship seen in the series, which in addition to their own weapons, have a massive number of cube robots with them.

So Its a intense anime with a lot of funny moments of the show! and yes it's really amusing when the guys don't know anything about the girls! It's really awkward when Duelo was trying to figure out the birthing process it was hilarious! Also Duelo is super hot too xD no offence to Hibiki, I loved each of the characters I though they made the show more exciting especially Bart and Pai? who kept taking pictures it was sooo amusing! There is the little romance between Hibiki an Dita which is sweet! :3

Overall the Mecha Anime is old but still gold to me! I think its one of the series where you really need to sit and think about what you are watching. Cause I remember the first time I got lost around episodes and then I realised a bit too late what happened but I was young haha. But when I finished it off today again it was so nostalgic I was jumping with glee! The music for the show is so worth listening to! I mean it suits every part of the show to the battle! Awesome! The design of the characters are not awkward but I really liked how they are drawn and they are very colourful! The show is completely different to the Manga which is like 2 volumes with 14 chapters and its really more quick to the point than the Anime! Never fear the show was more entertaining to see too! :D

So here I will leave you with some banging songs! :D Enjoy and make sure to watch this if you havent I am sure no one will like it as much, but its an anime I wont forget! :D

Dopey ~
