Totally True love? - Jorgen + Anne = Sant

When the new boy in class, Jørgen, moves into the haunted house down the road Anne’s world turns upside-down; she falls head over heals in love with him. All the girls in Anne’s class fall for Jørgen as well, including beautiful blond pony-tailed Ellen. But that is of no hindrance to Anne; she is willing to go further than anyone to win him over. When done in the name of love, everything is allowed…isn’t it?

SPOILER!
This movie is a Norwegian movie, and the movie itself was very cute and understandable. Of course i needed subs since I don't understand the language but it was pretty simple to know what was going on I mean. The children acting was spot on they did their roles perfectly I thought the story was interesting a view from a child's about love! but you have to bear in mind the dialogue is pretty fast! so it was a bit loopy~

The movie starts off with Anne (Maria Annette Berglyd) who is a typical 10 year old who loves doing what kids do, like climbing trees and so on, she is a bit awkward and different as she does the opposites of things but nevertheless she is energetic and bubbly. Her point of view is shown pretty clear as to how she fell in love etc. She introduces her best friend Beate (Aurora Bach) the red haired girl who is so cute looking!!! and what she likes to do and how she has no parents. And the story moves on to the meeting of Jorgen!

We see a car that stops by and comes out Jorgen (Otto Garli) with his dad as their car stops dead. We see Beate and Anne join to help them get their car home and that's how the first meeting of the two 10 year old were. Anne infatuated already the next day happens to see Jorgen in her class which doesn't surprise her or Beate but pleases them.
I thought the interesting part of the movie was the "Story of Helga" when all the kids are gathered around Jorgen's house we see Anne tell the story of "Helga" to them, and the tale consisted of love and tragedy of course. The story was of how Helga was in love with a boy called Luca, who every girl had a crush on him as well, she hated the other girls and would do anything to get rid of them for Luca. eg. There is a scene where she cuts of this girls hair! she was pretty twisted, her father later locked her up and apparently no one ever saw her again as she was supposedly buried in the wall. It later goes on to say how the tenants that lived their always moved away as they didn't feel happy or safe and found the wall that Helga was buried in bleeding, so it was a pretty awkward yet creepy story in other words.

The story goes on after to have the best friends Anne and Beate confessing who they like and how they will get them. Anne thinks of something clever which was writing a love letter and putting it in the secret place her rival "Ellen" was the one she gave it to as "Ellen" was the one aiming for Jorgen which makes this a love triangle in a way, the idea came from the story of Helga, where her father wrote the note to her saying it was from Luca but he lied, the letter that said "I Luca don't love you stop now" but she didn't stop. So the Idea was in full swing, and thus where everything went uphill and downhill for Anne.

Downhill side, she faced a lot of humiliation from her brother there was a scene where she had to take of her trouser which was her brothers in front of the whole school, she was forced to take it off. (The scene totally made me want to cry that was embarrassing her brother was so cruel)
The uphill from that point was how she got a sweet ride with the one she likes which was pretty cute! I loved the scene a lot it made me smile and think about our youth in a way. Jorgen choose Anne instead of Ellen which gave Anne hope which you could see in her smile so cute!

But then it went downhill from there as during "Ellen" birthday party there was some issues that the girls had, as in during the truth or dare game "Ellen" had to watch Jorgen and Anne kiss and so she blew a fit, afterwards "Ellen" had a fight with Anne which made Anne hit her with her bag and was asked to leave the party.

After that it was pretty awful as the best friends started to turn on each other and hurt one another with words they couldn't take back. And how Anne was ostracized by her class which made it hauntingly real so she went to "Ellen" house later on and cut her hair out of jealousy similar to Helga which I found so clever she imitated everything about the story of Helga. So she ran away and hid under some trees, her brother found her and they talked which was sweet.

The uphill part now was Anne apologized and reconnected with her best friend again and she went over to Jorgen's house where they talked and this part melted my heart it was really cute I loved it they confessed and it was really nice and it ends with Anne saying don't believe what people say you can fall in love she did.

Overall : This story was simple and yet so sweet, it showed off the characters really well as in we knew from which kids liked whom and why. And the connection between Jorgen and Anne was adorable seeing it from a 10 year old's point of view gave me a hint that it doesn't matter what age you are you could fall in love, it just depends how. I loved their first meeting together I saw how they stared at one another and smiled it was those tiny moments that make you reminisce about your first crush or so. The cinematography was pretty fast and it was hard to read the subtitles and watch same time however the second time I watched it I had my eyes solely focused on the images I loved each scene connecting with one another the Pan's and focus of each expression on the kids, it was worth the watch...It portrayed a child's life nicely.

If you want a small family movie, or a children romance this is pretty much a great one, its a great release and i connected well with the movie. It's worth a go to watch this if you need something light and cute.
